We stand in for a minority of people, wich are neither respectet from the own government nor find these people attention from the so-called first world. A group of env. 20'000 people wich lives in and with the rainforest, people, wich have no voice in our media: The Maroons in Suriname!

The Association «TOOKA MOVE» is a NPO (non-profit Organisation), wich finance from donations and the public authorities, membership fees and proceeds from events. «TOOKA MOVE» informs broad public for the necessity to take action for the protection of the rainforest and its inhabitants in Suriname, South America. It enhance and support actions relevant to development of indigenous people, in particular

. assisting Tooka Foundation Suriname and the Association of Saramacan Authorities (ASA)
....to make a stand for their landrights, accordant to the UNHRC resolution of 10.12.1948
. educational improvement in the villages
. promotion of social and economical developement
. organizing sport-, recreation- and cultural activities
. promoting ecotourisme
. guidance and communicating ecologically-related information/expertise
. set-up and intent to collaborate together with national and international
